Located near City of Hua-Lien, northeast
part of Taiwan, Taroko
National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Taiwan.
It offers spectacular scenery of gorges, rivers, and moutains. Hundreds
of trails are available - for families to take a leisure walk on
easy and falt roads, or for advanturous hikers to explore some of
the more challenging trails.
I didn't have much chance to travel while growing up in Taiwan. I've been wanting
to visit the park for several years. Finally, in December of 2002, a few good
friends of mine and I took a road trip to Taroko. We had only 3-4 days to explore
the place. If time allows, I wish to go futher west to the adjacent scenic spots
such as Tayuling and Hohuan Mountain .
