San Lucas

Point of Interests: San Jose Del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas
Tips:
- Avoid taxi and shuttles if you can. They are pretty expensive.
Stick with the bus. (Yellow/Blue color) They come about every 15
minutes and they run in the main road that connects San Jose Del
Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It's
only
10
pesos
per
person and you can pay with dollars instead of Mexican peso (about
$1 USD). It even takes you from SJD airport to San Jose
Del Cabo; though you must first walk 20-30 minutes
to get to the bus station.
- Go to time share presentations if you don't mind wasting
2-4 hours of your entire trip. You usually get
free transportations, free breakfast, free money and free activities
as your reward.
- Local fish taco places are very tasty. The restaurants near the
beach can be expensive though some do provide quality food. Fish
was better than shrimps and lobsters when we were there (in May).
- Even though a lot of websites suggest you book the activities
ahead, it generally only requires one day ahead. Especially if
you go during low season (May-Oct), sometimes you can
bargain with them while you are there.
Highlights of my trip:
My Star Ratings:
- The Office
  -
Dinner and Show at Medano Beach. Food is pretty good but the
show is just so-so.
- Lover's
Beach & Divorce Beach
    -
Take a kayak out from Medano Beach. It takes only 15 minutes or
so. Lots of fun. Great scenery. Huge waves on the divorce beach
(pacific ocean side). Snorkeling is avaialbe here too.
- Santa Maria Beach
    -
Beautiful! A great place for snorkeling too.
- Zipper's Beach
  -
Fairly nice. This is the place for surfing. Although we didn't
get to surf here... The surf shop that offers lessons close by
is quite expensive. You can find a better deal else where.
- Club
Cascadas
    -
A great resort at Cabo San Lucas! Unique architecture and room
decorations. Private Jacuzi. Max. 4 stories. Less crowded than
most other resorts.
2
swimming pools. 1 tennis court. Beach front.
- Jungle Cruise
  -
The cruise takes you out in the ocean from the marina by Medano
beach to Santa Maria beach for snorkel. It's a "college spring
break" cruise. If you are into loud music, free cheap bear and
cookies, this is the right place for you.
